With 250 drivers, thousands of spectators and two wall-to-wall days of drifting – it’s the place to be come early March.
Drift games, trade stalls and four different drifting circuits, the festival vibe just keeps pumping all weekend long.
Gates open at 4pm. Drivers’ and their +1’s can pick up their tickets at the gate from 2pm, while other crew members and spectators can pay for their tickets from then as well.
Names listed at the gate. Drivers proceed to the container to complete sign-on process. Licence and photo ID must be shown to receive a wrist band.
If you have hired a garage, you will need to supply your own key & padlock, garages are unlocked from 4pm.
Pit-bays are available from 4pm. Scrutineering will be open from 4pm at the scrutineering shed.
Drivers will require a briefing, they commence from 4:30pm-8:00pm on Friday. Drivers will receive another armband.
Gates close at 10:00pm, security will be onsite if required.
Gates open at 7am. Sign on will open for drivers and passengers, scrutineering will also be available from 7am.

From 7am, those that have hired pit bays may move their vehicles into the pit lane.
The pit lane opens at 8:00am and on track activities begin.
Pit lane closes at 10:00pm bringing an end to on track activity for the day. Gates close at 11:00pm.

This is an alcohol and drug free event, cars will be checked on entry to the circuit and should any contraband be found, it will be confiscated or elevated to the relevant authorities.
Security services will be patrolling the venue overnight and during the day, should you have any issues please seek them out for help. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in you being removed from the venue.
Tandem, trains and single runs are all allowed at Drift Matsuri. Entrants are not able to drift Turn 6 from the Crossover. The start lines are extended in length at Drift Matsuri so drifters with experience can chase faster entry speeds. Short Track can only have up to four cars in a train.
Queensland Raceway does not offer refunds on entries purchased. Selling of entries is not permitted if you cannot attend the event, unless authorised by Queensland Raceway.
A waitlist is in place if all driver entries sell out. All transfers of entries must be organised through Queensland Raceway and purchaser of entry.
If you cannot make the event and would like to transfer your entry, please contact Queensland Raceway directly for the current waitlist or for approval to sell your entry. A transfer fee of $50.00 is applicable to all entry transfers and payable to Queensland Raceway.

Driver entry is $449, competition licence required. Available to the first 250 entered. Keep an eye out for date of entries opening.
Spectators are $40pp weekend pass, this includes camping. Kids 12 & under are free! There are no single day tickets.
All Drivers & Passengers must wear Full-length clothing, Enclosed Shoes and AS/NZS1698 helmet or equivalent. No singlets, T-shirts or shorts allowed. Skidpan does not require a helmet.
Gates open at 4pm Friday the day before the event for early bird sign on & scrutineering. Gates open from 7am Saturday & Sunday, On track from 8am. Saturday closes at 10pm, Sunday closes at 4pm.
Passengers must be at least 7yrs & older, and 120cm tall. If under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the indemnity form and show proof of guardianship, i.e Medicare Card. Passengers must also fit securely within the seat & vehicle. Passengers must show photo ID upon sign-on
Yes! Both drivers & passengers must sign on and receive and armband before going on track. Please make sure to sign in, show photo ID & your competition licence at the office to receive your armband. All drivers must also complete a briefing before going on track

Yes, but both will need to pay & enter as a driver to be able to participate. Entry is by driver, not by vehicle.
We still run the event if it rains, we will only cancel if the track is deemed unsafe & unusable which is usually due to flooding or torrential rain. If we do cancel, all entrants will be contacted by QR staff to organise a credit.
Yes, pit-bays are available, Pit-bays are $100 per pit-bay to secure, garages are $440 for a drive-through garage. Please let us know if you want specific placement.
Yes! Tyre changing facilites are available throughout the event.
