Cruise The Night

Light up the night at Queensland Raceway.

Cruise the Night is an opportunity to spend the night at a racetrack, hang out with your mates and then head for a cruise around at the circuit.

With QR café and food trucks, trade stalls, activities for kids, and more on the night it’s a full festival vibe celebrating car culture and all things motoring.

Key Information

Event Guidelines and Rules

  • Cruising abides by general road rules and provides a safe, relaxed way of enjoying your vehicle in a track environment.

Please note that these are not performance driving sessions:

  • Cars must not exceed 120kph while on track
  • There is no overtaking on corners allowed
  • Drivers and passengers are not allowed to wear helmets during sessions

The following behaviour will not be permitted in a session:

  • Car to car contact
  • Cars going off track
  • Tyre smoke / drifting
  • Any attempt at Roll Racing

Packages Available

  • Cruises (20 minutes): $20 per cruise
  • Passengers: Included in spectator ticket.

VIP Package include:

  • 1x Gate entry (one person)
  • 2x Dedicated 30-minute cruises sessions for VIPs
  • VIP pitlane carport/paddock garage (allocation will be first come/first served arrangement at the event)
  • Exclusive VIP Entry location
  • +1 spectator ticket included

Passenger Requirements

  • Passengers must be at least 4 years old.
  • Passengers up to 7 years of age must be in Australian Standards approved child safety seat.
  • Minimum clothing requirement for this event is short sleeve t-shirt, shorts and enclosed shoes.

Driver Requirements

  • Drivers require at least a provisional road licence to participate in this event
  • Minimum clothing requirement for this event is shirt sleeve t-shirt, shorts and enclosed shoes,

Vehicle Requirements and Restrictions

  • No unregistered cars are permitted on track.
  • All cars must have current registration and licence plates must not be obscured.
  • Roll Cages MUST be mod plated (LK8 LK9 LK10).
  • Only 4-point Cages Permitted.
  • Roll Cages MUST be padded near where a head could touch.
  • Roll Cages MUST be scrutineered in our A2 Garage (Located opposite the control tower next to the tyre shed). You will be given a Roll Cage Approved sticker to be allowed on track.
  • No Rear Passengers in Roll Caged Cars.
  • You must meet all of these requirements to be allowed on track.

Order of events

On the Day

1. Purchasing Cruises

Cruises are only purchasable on the night of the event, drivers must sign the indemnity booklets to receive their armbands and cruise stickers.

2. Gates Open

Gates will open from 4:00pm, VIP package holders are able to set up in their preferred space from then (either in pitlane or garages)

3. Drivers Briefing

All drivers must attend a drivers’ briefing, there will be ongoing briefings throughout the night.

4. Pit Lane Opens/Event Finish

The first cruise session will start from 6:00pm. End of activities will be at 10:00pm.
