The racing season at Queensland Raceway kicks off with abang this weekend (26th-27th Feb) as six categoriesline-up over the two days with action guaranteed.

Roll call for the first round of the Queensland RacingDrivers’ Championship includes Production Sports, Queensland Sports Cars,Formula Vee, HQs, EFS Excel Cup and Replica Tourers.

Across those six categories there’s close to 100 entrantsready to race at Queensland Raceway for the first time in 2022.

The schedule for the weekend see’s the EFS Excel Cup contest just the Saturday,while the rest of the cohort are in action across both days.

Formula Vee, Production Sports and Queensland Sports Cars arethe only categories to contest five races on the weekend, the rest will allhave four.

Replica Tourers will utilise the Sprint circuit for theirthird hit-out on Saturday, all other sessions will take place on the Nationallayout.

With 23 cars listed, Production Sports’ entrant list is the most exciting onthe bill. The eye-watering entry list includes several Porches GT3 Cup cars,among other Porsche models and the fan favourite – the Mosler of Graham Lusty.

Food trucks and merchandise stalls will add to theatmosphere at the 2022 season opener.

Spectator entry to QRDC Round 1 is available online untilFriday, with tickets then able to be purchased at the gate. Weekend tickets are$40, Saturday is $20, Sunday is $30 and kids 12 and under are free to comethrough the gate.
