The best way for a driver to guarantee a spot in the event is to enter online. $120-$200 entry per driver. Spectator entry is free!
Prepare for your next competitive event, fine tune your car or just get some seat time in – General Practice is the perfect excuse to get on track.
Race cars to street cars are welcome and will be grouped accordingly to ensure we deliver a safe event with plenty of track time available.
There are half day and full day sessions available, depending on the event.
General Practice is not suitable for drivers who have not been on track before or who are not confident in their circuit driving skills. We recommend our Sprint Series for these drivers.
Gates open at 7:00am.
Drivers will need to sign on at the event, they will need to show staff their photo ID and competition licence (as stipulated on the event entry page)
The Drivers Briefing will take place at 8:00am. Drivers who are late will need to organise a briefing. Groupings for the event will be announced at the briefing.
Pit lane will open at 8:30am for the first group. Each group will receive a 15-minute session and will rotate throughout the event.
Pit lane will close at 12:30pm for lunch or for end of the event if it is a half day General Practice.
For a full day General Practice the pit lane will re-open from 1:00pm until 4:30pm.

All Drivers must wear a minimum of long sleeves, long pants, and enclosed shoes and AS/NZS1698 helmet or equivalent
Yes, pit-bays are available, first in best dressed to arrive. We also have a wide “paddock area” where drivers can set-up for the event
We still run the event if it rains, we will only cancel if the track is deemed unsafe & unusable which is usually due to flooding or torrential rain. If we do cancel, all entrants will be contacted by QR staff to organise a credit.
Yes, but both will need to pay & enter as a driver to be able to participate. Entry is by driver, not by vehicle.
We do not recommend General Practice for people who have limited track driving experience. There is a wide range of vehicles and drivers which makes it unsuitable for beginners.
The event manager will survey entrants’ vehicles on the day and will come to a decision of how many groups and the groupings will run. This will be announced at the mandatory drivers’ briefing. Each group receives 15 minute sessions.
No, General Practice does not provide timing. If you are looking for timing, our Sprint Series events are probably a better option.
We use the National circuit for General Practice.
