Queensland Raceway is the state’s premier motorsport facility, located an hour west of the Brisbane CBD. Affectionately known as QR, the track has become the hub for the development and future of motorsport in Australia.
Constructed in 1999 and has hosted national championship events, including the Supercars Championship and the Australian Superbike Championship. While being the best testing track in the country for the Supercars Championship. The preferred track for the top teams in the series, QR has bred many a champion.
The scene of epic battles in the Supercars Championship across two decades, Queensland Raceway has embedded itself as a prominent piece of Australian motorsport heritage. The six-corner track design offers expansive straights, long braking areas and six totally different corner profiles. The circuit is technically difficult to conquer and offers a unique challenge for drivers of all experience levels.

There are four different circuit layouts including the famous National track – the Clubman, Sprint and Sportsman are all utilised across events. Supercar Champions Scott McLaughin, Shane van Gisbergen, Jamie Whincup, and Craig Lowndes have all conquered the track. While the much-loved Drift Matsuri events have seen the likes of Hert and Rob from 'The Unprofessionals - Hoonigan and imports from Japan such as Drift Zamurai, Abo Satsukawa from Team A-BO-MOON and Naoki Nakamura from Team Burst.

Our race suits come in a range of sizes from Small to 4XL. However, long sleeves and long pants are also suitable to wear instead. The measurements for the 4XL suits are: Chest 130cm - Waist 119cm - Hips 130cm.
To drive in our experience you need to be within the height range of 152cm and 194cm with a max weight of below 130kg. To be a passenger in our experience you need to be within the height range of 135cm and 194cm with a max weight of below 130kg.
To be eligible to drive one of our V8 Race Experience cars you need to hold a minimum of a current learner’s licence and 50 logbook hours. We recommend that you do not nominate to drive one of our vehicles unless you are confident in driving a manual car, as you need to be able to concentrate on what the in-car coach is saying to you during the experience, rather than worry about basic gear changes. Under 18’s will need permission from a parent/legal guardian. The legal guardian will need to sign our consent form and provide photo ID and a Medicare card listing themselves and the minor.

You are welcome to bring as many people along with you to watch your experience on the day as you would like, however, all spectators are required to observe the action from the designated viewpoints allocated by our staff.
All bookings must be made before the event day. To participate in the V8 Race Experience please ensure that you have booked your time and event.
If you are not able to drive a manual car confidently you will struggle driving our V8 Race Experience cars. You are more than welcome to participate in the experience as a passenger to one of our qualified instructors if you are not confident driving yourself. On request we do have an automatic car that can be made available for participants who wish to drive it.
