Series Point Score
The 2009 TopGear Sprint Series continues to provide a more competitive option for the more serious sprinters, as well as allow the opportunity for more people to participate in a Sprint Series. The series will be held over 8 rounds at Queensland Raceway and Lakeside Park.


Series Dates -
Feb 7, Mar 21 (LP), May 9, Jun 13, Jul 18, Sep 12 (LP), Oct 10 (LP), Nov 14.

Categories
The Series is open to road registered, unregistered and race vehicles.
There will be five categories
Road Registered: 4 Cylinder | 6 Cylinder | 8 Cylinder
Race Car (Unregistered): Under 2 Litre | Over 2 Litre
Turbo charged and/or supercharged air induction vehicles will move up by one category.
There are NO tyre restrictions. ie Slicks are permitted.

Format
All rounds of the series will be conducted on the Clubman circuit.
4 starts at each round consisting of 1 x out lap, Grid Standing Start, 5 x hot laps, 1 x in lap.
Groups will be formed by request where possible otherwise will be allocated according to previous best recorded time.
Novices with less than three Sprint rounds experience will always be in their own special group.
Where we can finish early with plenty of daylight a fifth run will be held for those who want even more time on track. Of course, there is NO CHARGE for the fifth run.

Trophies & Awards
Trophies will be awarded to the first three drivers in each category at the end of the season.
Our traditional free barbeque and drinks at the last round of the series will be the occasion for the presentation of the trophies.
