Saturday July 5 - Practice starts at 8.15am. Racing from 12.15 - 4.30pm. Spectators $10.
Sunday July 6 - Racing 8.30am - 5.00pm. Spectators $10.

QR Hire Karts "Gemini Challenge" Media Release 1/7/08

Queensland Racing Drivers Championship (QRDC) is sanctioned by the Australian Auto Sport Alliance (AASA) and designed to be used as part of an overall Queensland championship or as a stand-alone Queensland Raceways only championship.

Track Configurations
The track configuration for Round 1 (May 3-4, 2008) will be the NATIONAL CIRCUIT for all groups except for those who have special Battlegroup requirements arranged prior to the Event.

Regular Groups

QR Category		Description
Golden Holdens		Geminis, HQ's and Kingswood sections
Open Wheelers		F/V, F/F, AF2 F3 and Libra cars <1200cc, <1800cc & Open sections
TopGear Sedans		originally designed with 4 doors or 4 seats – logbook optional
TopGear Sports		originally designed with 2 doors or 2 seats – logbook optional
JDM		Japanese Domestic Market - Elite and Club sections
Qld Tour. Car Challenge		Group A, Group C, Group N, muscle cars etc-logbook required
Super Tin Tops		Improved Production, Sports Sedans etc- <2000cc & Open sections -logbook required
Private Groups*		Private Battlegroups should be 15 or more cars competing
Queensland Sidecar Championship		Sidecars

*Private Groups
Whilst many people have expressed enthusiasm to build their own groups, we will still offer groups which are built on the existing cams categories so competitors will find it easy to compete at both QR and Morgan Park.
Any group wishing to have its own event should contact the QR office on 07 5461 9100.

Timetable (unless pre-arranged stand alone categories require different event structures)

Friday		Practice
Saturday		2 x 15min Qualifying Sessions per group
		1 x 15 Lap Race per group
Sunday		2 x 15 Lap Races per group
